i am a Lutheran woman pastor and aspiring artist seeking new ways to be encountered by the Word. i believe through images and the act of creating the Spirit engages us and gives us new eyes to see the unseen God alive in our lives and the lives of our communities.
in preparation for preaching in week, i will take time to let the weekly texts from the Revised Common Lectionary play in my imagination and heart as i create images from those scripture readings. these images are posted here to invite you into this process. please let these images engage you, to inspire, provoke, comfort, offend, or open you. in letting the Word reside in our imaginations and wrestle with us in new ways, i believe we become more faithful and creative preachers.
